           THE GREAT SPHINX

Thought to be the face of Khafra, this lion bodied human headed landmark is now thought to be older than the pyramids at Giza going back as far as 5000BC.

Still unable to determine its real date of when it was sculptured out of the natural rock, it has served as an attraction as far back as the Pharaohs of the Old Kingdom and has resisted thousands of years the weathering forces of nature.
