Up against four of the opposing sides of this octagonal base are standing four
human size statues of Thoth. Or at least what is thought to be Thoth. Thoth
is normally a male God, but here we have the four ibis headed beasts with the
bodies of women.
Unusually all the deities inside this Temple are manifestations in the female
form. If you have the intention to mount the ramp you would be confronting a
female version of Thoth who seems to be protecting Khepri.
Doctor Pittaloup is convinced that it all has to do with the moon that is considered
to be part of the soul of women. Obviously this belief is based on the obvious
relationship of women’s ovulation cycle of twenty-seven days that corresponds
to the complete phase of the moon that he pointed out in his published article
from a few months ago.
